Carrying your Orange

Last post I mentioned putting myself out there to great critiqued, but now the time has come to use that feedback to make my query stronger.

This is a great community, full of encouragement and understanding, but writing is a solitary endeavour. In the end, I am the only one who can write the book. And even though it's great to have others believe in you, it's more important to believe in myself.

Oh yeah...putting yourself out there to get critiqued is part of the game.

I recently did that with my manuscript. It got eviscerated. I'm only now starting to process the feedback from it. It's all good...but there's just so much apparently that isn't right with it that it will take me months to sort out.

Sigh :)

You definitely have to believe in yourself and your writing - sometimes it's so hard to do yet another round of revision.

Cute orange!

I sometimes wonder what it would be like to have a writing partner. But then I realize that as solitary as it is to write, I'd never want to give up or even share the control of my story.

Love the orange.

Love the message. Love the picture. I'm rooting for you (and for me) on this one!

You are so right, we are the only ones who can actually pen that story. And that's precisely how our heart shines through. Enjoy!

That is a really cute picture, and you're right about writing being a solitary activity.

Thank you, anyway, for sharing your writing journey with us. Keep believing in yourself and hopefully good things will happen.

Aw! I love that little orange. And well said. I think believing in oneself is the biggest motivator of all. Thanks Patti!
