I’ve never been very photogenic. My whole life I've searched for nice photos of myself. That is why I haven’t put a photo of myself on the blog. This summer I was determined to find one that was half decent and the photo to the right was the best I could find.
I may replace it if I could ever get my sister-in-law, whose a photographer to take my photo.
Tomorrow I'll write something more profound. Right now it's late, and I don't have any brain time left.

It's a lovely picture, and I wish I was sitting there next to you sharing a nice bloggy conversation!
I think it's very lovely too. Also, what a dramatic backdrop behind you!
I am always searching for nice photos of myself too, by the way.
I think it's a great photo! What an awesome place, too!
I know what you mean, though. I had a picture of a pen as my profile photo for two years. I finally changed it when I got the contract. I figured at some point I was going to have to put my mug out there.
What a wonderful photo! What a great backdrop!
Susan aka LW: I'd share that conversation with you anytime.
SW: Picking a flattering photo is hard. The backdrop is the Elbow River, a place my husband kayaks a lot.
Heidi: Eventually we all need to put ourselves out there more, especially you with a book deal and all. Congratulations again.
Jennifer: Thanks. It was a nice Sunday afternoon stroll in the river to get cool.
Finally, I don't see a Icelandic hut in my mind when I think "patti nielson." Actually, you look how I thought you would look because I had to imagine you up on my own. And I was right on. Except for the ghastly bruise. I didn't imagine that.
Jessie: Luckily the bruise will go away. You have a pretty accurate imagination, I'm impressed.
