But I think it will pay off in the long run, even if it means I get there later.

Everytime I hear someone ask an author for advice one of the main things they say is: patience, patience, patience. There is no such thing as an overnight success.Pattihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00685341739870191402noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4984184121584258371.post-73217948794917692652009-05-18T09:18:00.000-07:002009-05-18T09:18:00.000-07:00Good for you, Patti!

I cringe looking at it now. The second I was itching to send, but really waited a bit, edited, gave other to read and critique, edited more, revised query a million times...

Well, I don't have an agent yet, so who knows if it mattered. But I'm proud of the book still, and I've had lots of requests. So I think it's paying off.Heidi Willishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18420802651029097379noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4984184121584258371.post-30296004948070045562009-05-17T23:56:00.000-07:002009-05-17T23:56:00.000-07:00I think you're right on with this. I did this with my first book (considered publishable, heh) Waaayyy too early and I paid for it.

It's super good you're being patient, I can't stress enough how awesome this is. :)))))JKBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13176569393506563218noreply@blogger.com
