Time to get back at it . . .

I've taken a few weeks off from blogging, but now I'm back on the band wagon.

Sometimes you need that break just to re-evaluate what you're doing, plus I was trying to write a synopsis, which after some help is pretty much done. That is until they ask for an eight page synopsis (mine's two pages - double spaced).

I've also been reading and just finished the second book from Laini Taylor. Daughter of Blood and Daylight. Such a great book. I totally loved it. In fact I tried really hard to prolong it, but in the end, I finished it in two days. It's such a rush reading a book and even though it's satisfying to finish, if it's been a good book, I still feel a little empty

In other news, my boys have started basketball that means 70 basketball games and practices four days a week for the next four months, but you know what? I'm going to enjoy every minute of it, because it ends way too soon. My oldest graduates this year and it makes me a little ill to think of him leaving home next year. So I'm going to every game I can.

So that's been my life; working, reading, writing. and family. What's been up with you for the past two weeks?

I'm still working on the old house, but it's almost finished. I just have to get my act together and FINISH it. But I'm at the end now and just don't want to. You know how that goes. I'm tired of it.

whoa! That's a LOT of basketball!!! :D

So you liked the sequel? I read #1, and I liked it all the way up to the end. ARGH! That was not cool.

But #2's good? I'm on the fence about it. I've heard it's way more into the Madrigal world, less in Czech Republic... :D <3

We don't do sports in our house any more. My daughter went out for softball over the summer and that was quite enough for her. *grin*

Just got done with Thanksgiving, so it's time to get ready for Christmas!

Blerg. i hate synopses. I have a two page one, but i hate when they ask for a single pager.

Congrats on getting the synopsis done!!

I've been writing (19k words on the new book in one month--which is a huge record for me), cooking, and reading.

Enjoy the games. I remember watching baseball game after baseball game. And although I'm glad I'm not sitting the snow at the beginning of the season and mosquitoes at the end anymore, they were special times.

O.o I don't know how I'll cope with an empty nest. Though I still have some years left. Anyway! I want to read that book!! But I'm waiting for it to get on the "international kindle" thingy. I'm really impatient by now! lol

You are one busy chickie. I look forward to reading about all the games you go to with your kids.

Merry Christmas and have an Oogie Boogie New Year.

Cheers.
