Wild and Crazy

I was watching the beginning of Field of Dreams where Kevin Costner tells the audience about his life. Then at the end he says, "And I've never done anything completely crazy."

(or something close to that)

Then he builds a baseball field.

I'm a pretty level headed person and have a healthy fear of consequences, but my first thought after I heard Kevin Costner was I don't think I've done anything crazy either. It's not that I want to build a baseball diamond in the back yard, but maybe I need to do something.

I'm not sure what, any ideas.

What's the craziest thing you've done?

well I used to do a lot of crazy/stupid things when i was younger but admittedly my life is pretty darn quiet now. I have been thinking of getting a tattoo but it's so hard to find one that won't look stupid, won't be offensive, and won't be obvious to the casual observer. I think I may have what I want and know where I want it but ...I'm a little nervous about actually doing it!

I guess it depends how you define crazy. lol I've never done anything really crazy and being a practical minded person, I'm not tempted to. *grin*

I don't think I'd call it 'crazy', but one of the most freeing things I did was to become a nude model for art classes, as a way of facing and getting over my body image crap. It did me the world of good! Mainly because it taught me that I had been placing limitations around myself, and that they were all in my head. I learnt I was braver and more capable than I had imagined.

I think when we do things that are important to us, they may seem crazy to others from the outside, but within ourselves we know its just something we need to do. So, instead of asking 'what crazy thing should I do?', maybe ask yourself, 'what would i love to do, but have always been afraid of doing?' :)

I think the craiest thing I've ever done was move to Nevada for a couple of years. NOT what I imagined it would be, but I'm glad I had the experience. More fodder for writing.

Write a novel and self-publish it. If that wasn't crazy enough, I'm doing it again this year.
