Whatcha Doing?

So summer's almost half over. The month of July has flown by like a mosquito buzzing past your head.

Unfortunately we haven't done too much - yet. The weeks have been filled with basketball practices and games. Soccer practices in the scorching heat and soccer games covered in mosquito spray. Weed pulling, laundry, dishes, and everything else. Plus there's been work, work, and more work.

There hasn't been any hikes, camping, or camp fires. No bike rides, rock climbing, or hanging by a lake.

We have one more basketball tournament next weekend then our summer really begins. In other words, time off work. So I'm looking for ideas.

Have you done anything fun this summer?

Absolutely not one thing. Still moving and cleaning. Praying for a lottery win to go to the beach. lol

Vacation in Maryland, attending a wedding, some hikes, beach going, pool dipping, with plans to go to Niagara later in the summer.

Wouldn't mind slowing down a bit more.

This summer has been one house chore after another: resealing the deck, stripping, staining, and polyurethaning all the kitchen cabinets, etc.

But vacation is coming and then we'll be visiting Washington DC and some dear friends.

We hit the summer running, with swimming and getting together with friends and various other outings. Then we took the last few weeks off. Before summer is over, we're looking forward to a little hiking, camping, more swimming and maybe a little relaxing :) I hope.

Still waiting for the summer here in England - such a wet and stormy one, blink and you missed any sign of the sun.

I had a baby. My summer has been fun and CRAZY in other ways. But we are going to the coast in September...kind of a late summer vacay.

What have I been doing? Melting!

Have I done anything fun this summer? Nope!

I'm such a pessimist. ;-) We may try and do something before school starts in the middle of August.

I've been packing, moving to another state, and trying to get settled. And like Melissa's comment before me: Melting!! California is MUCH hotter than southern Oregon...

Hope you get a chance to do some fun stuff in August! ;o)
