Friday Favorites

Today is going to be my favorite thing this week.

In the past two weeks, I've gone from working 20 hours a week to 30 and last night I had to be at work for 12 hours. I'm  totally exhausted, my house is a mess, and we are in sore need of some groceries.

Honestly, I don't know how people who work full time do it. How do they keep up with everything. For the past couple of weeks, I feel like I've been slowly drowning in everything I'm not doing.

Today is my day off and I'm looking forward to relaxing, catching up on some housework, exercising, and doing some writing.

How about you? Do you work full time, part time, or do you stay at home? Where do you find time to write and get everything done if you work full time. Or are you just in a perpetual state of tiredness?

Have a good weekend.

I used to work 45 + hours a week and I didn't keep up. But I never got to read (non-work stuff) or write, either. Those were just distant dreams. It just about did me in. Before I left my job (I was laid off), I was so sick, I couldn't even recover from a regular cold. My body was too drain. Needless to say, I was thrilled to lose my job. It was killing me and my family.

I'm now a stay at home mom, and still have trouble balancing everything. But that's because writing is now my major priority. The nice thing is I've never felt better. I put in more hours than I did with my old job (that includes writing, reading, social networking), but I've never felt more alive. :) Still have trouble keeping up with the housework, though.

I always imagine working and caring for a home and family must be such a fine balancing act - it amazes me how people such as yourself Patti have time for anything else. Enjoy your weekend.

I'm still a school kid and only work one night a week at a local pizza joint. But between the vast amount of studying (well... procrastinating, really) and socializing, I find plenty of time to write but always feel too guilty to do it. I seem to always write when I'm at school recently, which is bad, because it means I have more homework, which means I'm procrastinating over even more things. Argh... :p

I work from home (when I have any work) and find I have too much time and catch myself thinking 'I'll do that later'.

I don't work outside the home, but I do homeschool my kids (three are now in college, so I only have to teach one now). And often I feel like something gets left behind with writing and other work. Right now it's my gardens. The weeds are reigning.
