Friday Favorites

This week I've been working on my query – yet again.

On Wednesday I thought I had it, so I showed it to my husband, which is a big deal, because he's always completely honest. If he thinks it sucks, he'll tell me.

As soon as he started going through it, I thought, "Be careful what you ask for, you might not like the answer."

He read half of it and started asking questions, but they were questions I needed to answer in order to write a good query. He told me he didn't like my last paragraph, which was my favorite one. He said it was too detailed. We kind of argued, but in the end his advice really helped.

So even though sometimes I don't like the answers when I get someone to read my stuff – I definitely need to keep asking.

How about you? What's been your favorite thing this week?

Have a good weekend.

My favourite thing this week is having the enironmental health officer over to listen to the noise coming from the flat below. She agreed it was too lud and will 'write to them' about it.

It's nice to be taken seriously.

I had a rockin' book club at my house last night. Loved the discussion--went in so many different directions and seemed like it could have gone on forever.

Hmmm... My favorite thing this week? Probably spending time together on Sunday for Easter. :)

I argue with hubby all the time! Sheesh. But he gives me great advice. Darn him! *wink*

My fav thing? We started planting the gardens. The spices are growing nicely. Food in my belly, Christopher is doing great. I'm at peace and happy! :-)

My husband is always very honest with me, too, and although sometimes I don't like his opinions, I appreciate him telling me the truth. I think it's saved me from leaving the house in some questionable outfits!

My favorite thing this week: BEING HOME. I am savoring this recovery time and loving every minute I'm able to stay in my house, with my cats, and being able to lounge around. It's been wonderful.

I guess the answers we don't want to hear are the ones we need most. It's nice you have a husband who'll try...mine just said he didn't know enough about queies to give decent input...which was, sort of, what I needed to hear too as it was then that I started seeking input outside my family.

Glad he helped. :) That's worth some arguing if it makes things better.

My fav thing this week is bittersweet. I discovered Words With Friends and have started games with like 15 friends. It's great but also a total time suck.
