Squiggly Lines

For the past week, I feel like I've been hitting my head against a wall or at least my keyboard.

I've been stuck on a couple of different scenes and I can't seem to get past to them. Every time I think I have it, I re-read the section and think it doesn't sound right, or I'm not capturing the emotion I want. I wonder if the character has enough motivation and I end up second guessing everything.

Then I saw this. Photo removed

I'm not saying that I instantly felt better and realized that all my struggles were leading me toward success.

In fact, even tonight I flopped down on the couch and sighed heavily.

But...

It does make sense. There might be some who have a straight road to success, but I'm sure most people have some squiggly lines.

And right now I'm in the thick of them.

How about you? Where are you on your road to success?

I like that image! I think that every single success story out there is the squiggly one. There are lots of twists and turns on that wavering road. But persistence gets us through them all. Write on :)

I love the diagram. It makes me feel better too. Thanks for sharing.

I love that picture. And I am SOOOOO in the middle of all that tangled mess!

But maybe... maybe we always are. Maybe life is just a series of tangled messes. We just have to see the blessings in the middle of it all, and enjoy where we are as much as possible. Which, admittedly, is sometimes not that much. :)

Loving that thought - at the moment my life seems to be one long squiggle.

Gosh, I sometimes feel inundated with squiggly lines! But those who work through it are the ones who succeed. :-)

I think almost all of us are somewhere in the mess of squiggly lines . . .

EVEN people we THINK have been on a straight road, aren't. Well - at least some of them aren't ;-O

What's success? HA!
I'm somewhere in the loops of that squiggly line. It will end someday, right, right? : )

I LOVE your new blog header, Patti!! It is SO you! :-)

I'm feeling very much like you right now, I think.

I'm in the squiggly bit as well. But i'm hoping it's the squiggly bit right before it straightens out again

Hey! That's a very good point. Your road may be squiggley and torturous, but you WILL get there. :)

Mine's not just squiggly, it hasn't got an arrow on it so I don't know which way I'm going. :)

But, it's a very good point. No one achieves anything by going in a straight line, except myopia.

Lost in the knot, and trying to figure out how to untie it. :D

My squiggly lines are all over the place, but I'll work through until the straighten out. Lol

Um, YES. And right now I'm think in the middle of jag-to-the-left, take-a-quick-spin-around, get-your-bearings, take-the-squig-to-the-right. Destination: Somewhere up ahead.

HA! I'm on one of those low hanging squiggles right now.
