Friday Favorites

This week has been a hard one. I've been a little bit down on myself in regards to my writing.

But on Wednesday I talked to a co-worker about it and she talked me off the ledge so to speak, since I was close to throwing in the towel. It's amazing what a few words of encouragement can do to your attitude.

I left work feeling great with renewed resolve to keep trying.

So my favorite thing this week is: "Words of Encouragement."

Try to give some today.

Too cute. I have weeks...I mean months like that. Hang in. I guess if we do that, if we hang in it has to get better, right? Right? ;)

I'm glad you didn't stop. There are so many different directions we can take our writing, too. Sometimes if we just change things up a bit it works wonders.

I'm glad she talked you away from the ledge. I've had many people talk me down over the years. Don't quit! You can do it! :)

I'm so glad to know that someone could give you the encouragement you needed. Writing when you're down is so hard. :-)

Don't give up. I had a bad week too, and your squiggly line post helped so much! I'm currently reading Ann Patchett's "The Getaway Car" in which she shares her self-doubt. It comforted me to know even a great writer like her has dark moments!

You can do it. Sometimes I have bad weeks every week of the month. But you just have to push through them. Or, take a small break, read an awesome book, and get back into it.

Awww! I love people that can tell you exactly what you need to hear, and to be timely about it to boot. I'm glad you didn't throw in the towel!
