Early Riser

I have never been a morning person.

A few years ago I tried to be friends with a lady who lived down the street by going for walks with her at 5:45am (that's right). I lasted for about two weeks before I told her I just couldn't do it anymore.

I used to write late at night, but as my kids got older and started staying up later, I'm finding I can't do that anymore.

I haven't tried writing early in the morning because I just never thought I could do it.

My CP Jessie has been writing early and has been getting a lot done, so she decided to have a blog fest and test out to see if maybe you function better in the morning.

Go here and sign up. It's for the third week in November and for everyone doing NaNo, this might be the push you need.

And if you're already a morning person then this would be an easy blogfest for you.

So what are you? Early morning, afternoon, or evening writer?

Morning person, as evident by me commenting at 2:52 this morning. Ugh.

I've tried writing in the morning and evening. Neither feels good cuz I'm tired during both. lol
I hope you find your perfect time!

You didn't say if you were doing it. :)

I am SOOOOO not a morning person!! I've tried to get up early to write, or even to exercise so I had more writing time during the day.... and I just can't.

That sounds like a lame excuse, but it's true. I barely get myself out of bed at 6:30 to get my kids up and out. The good thing is that by the time 8:30 rolls around and all kids are off to school, I am on my second cup of coffee and wide awake. That's my best writing time.

I am most definitely NOT a morning person! I've always said that if I could change ONE thing about myself, I would wish to be a morning person. I hate it that morning is such an awful time for me. :)

Nooo, not a morning person. I think getting up before 7 am should be outlawed. LOL But whenever I get up (assuming it's after 6), it doesn't take me long to wake up. I write whenever I can, at all times. Usually mornings are best, when I'm freshest. Not too early of mornings though. :)

I use to be a morning person, then late night, now my clock is all messed up.

I write late. I am useless in the morning. And my husband claims I can retrain myself. I think morning people often try to claim that. I can't. :)

I used to be useless in the morning, but I've been doing better. I tend to get a ton done if I start early. And I get up at 5:40. It sucks. But it's worth it. I guess... :)

I get up every morning (including the weekends) at 5 am, to either blog or write. :)

Evening. Deffinitely evening. I can churn out some good stuff in the early hours of, but the question is whether I can drag myself out of my bed in time...lol

Morning person, definitely. I'm ready to crash by 9:30 at night. Sometimes I'm even in bed before my teenagers.

ew, I hate mornings. I find I'm most creative starting about about 2-3 p.m. and then going til 7 or 8. Too bad that's just the worst possible time right now! LOL! So I make myself get started earlier.

Good luck to you! You'll make it work~
