Best Laid Plans

To try and stop some of my misery, I actually made a very simple to do list for today. (see previous post)

Vacumm
Edit three chapters
Exercise

Totally doable – right?

Well I didn't do any of those things. Instead I visited with three ladies in my church, then went to my mom's and canned 18 jars of salsa. My mom called in the morning and told me she had everything ready for me to come over and can. My mom is kind of like that, so how could I say no.

Now I've decided to make my to do lists at the end of the day.

Made 18 jars of salsa - done
Made dinner - done
Soccer meeting - done
blog - done
shower - done
groceries for the salsa - done

Wow, I did a lot today.

Hopefully you got to keep some of the salsa?

Mmmm, they look so good! Salsa is the one thing I have a hard time canning.

Sometimes a simple to do list is the best. ;) Have a great weekend Patti!

Okay, so how come you didn't make those before we had lunch last week???? Uh huh! :D

I canned some of my sister's salsa recipe for the first time this year. A lot of work (so that should count as big on your to-do list), but so worth it.

LOL! Funny but true! And so important to be reminded that even though we may not achieve what we set out to, we often still achieve a lot!

I love this! I think to-do lists at the end of the day is a fabulous idea! WTG Miss Smarty! (and yum on the salsa!)

If your to do list doesn't work out, I am all for changing it to fit the day! And then crossing every thing off, if only because IT FEELS SO GOOD.

ROFL!! I love this!! Making the to-do list at the END of the day (a its-done list) is BRILLIANT!

When I first had babies I used to make a list of what I'd done during the day so I didn't feel so useless. Like, "Read 16 picture books, changed 12 diapers, made six bottles, swept up Cheerios twice..." At the end of a day when I feel like I'd done nothing, I'd look at the list and think, "Wow. That's a lot of stuff!" :)
