No one should have this much power

Everytime I give my Critique Partner Jessie a book to read, she tells me that she's pregnant.

Okay it's only happened twice, but still.

This is all the reason I need to finish my book before her baby is born, I don't know if I can control this power I have.

So hop over to Jessie's blog and congratulate her.

Addendum: My power is limited. I'm sure you won't get pregnant if you read my book.

*GASP* Grabs the pregnancy checker. I'll be right back.

Whew. Everything is A-okay here, Patti. That power is awesome. Hmmm, if we could bottle it we'd be zillionaires. Notice I said we? *wink*

You are right. Your books should have a warning label on them. I know somebody who is trying to have her second child. Maybe I should send your manuscript over to her:)

Every time I held one of my friend's newborns, I'd become pregnant. After that happened twice, my husband wouldn't let me hold her newborns anymore. ;)

OMG, Patti, that is totally the best opening line I've ever seen for a book. Can you imagine? You might have to tweak it a little, but I think you should open one of your books this way. The query letter too.

Good job.
