This hat's seems glued to my head

Trying to get rid of my soccer hat is becoming harder than I thought. I know I wrote about taking it off a while a go (it's been so long ago that I can't find the post), but it's not leaving without a fight and tonight we had a royal battle.

I'm tired. In fact, I'm exhausted. As I write this, my eyes are drooping and I grow weary. I'm tired of politics in sports, work, and basically life, but mostly sports. I just want a clean house, someone to decide what they want for dinner, and a day to write without having to think about anything else. Maybe a good night's sleep would be good as well.

That's not too much to ask – right?

What's something simple that you want?

I'm sorry!! Sounds like you're getting burned out. My boys did Little League and some high school baseball. It was an absolutely grinding schedule, especially when they were old enough to umpire and play, but not old enough to drive. I'll admit that I did the Happy Dance when they were too old to play. And, as you said, if the schedules weren't ridiculous enough, the politics are.

I hope you got a good night's sleep.

:( Feeling sad for you, and hoping a good night's sleep helped.

My daughter wants to be in everything. She wants to do everything. We had to cut it down to three things, but still she was going four days a week after school, and though it seemed like she thrived at it, her school work was a struggle. Two weeks ago, we took her out of everything except swimming, which is only one day a week. It was like a huge weight off her. I thought she'd be devestated (she was initially) but now she LOVES having time after school to finish her work and PLAY. I don't remember the last time she got to do that.

Sometimes the things we love are the things that wear us down. I'm praying you find a little new life and energy, however you can. Have a great weekend!

Here's hoping you managed that good nights sleep and all seems a little clearer.

Oooh, someone else to decide what I cook for dinner every night would be awesome. (and possibly for a kid not to say eww, when I put it in front of them....but that might be too much to ask.) :)

I'm sorry you're having to deal with politics in sports. It sounds frustrating. Hope that rest helped a little.

Say the word and I'll decide what you'll cook for dinner! :P

But seriously, I hope you slept well once you read this comment! :D

I hope you got that good night's sleep Patti! I hope you've had several good night's sleeps since then.

That's one reason I'm glad to be homeschooling ~ I hated the politics at the school and with the PTA. Good luck with your soccer drama!
