Crybabyitis

I watch Survivor. I don't love it, but I have to say that I love Boston Rob. The other week he came down with the flu and passed out. Later he said to the camera that he had a touch of the flu and a bit of crybabyitis.

I think I had a bit of that this weekend. I wallowed in my self-pity and cried, "Wo is me" to anyone who would listen, which really wasn't anyone. Now that I've had a few days to pull myself out of a rut, things look better. How did I do this you may ask? I went for walks.

As a teenager that's all I ever did when things were bugging me. So I went for a walk on Sunday, Monday and today. After some sunshine and fresh air, I feel much better.

Has anything really changed. No, but now I realize that's okay.

On a funnier note we asked our children if they wanted to either go on vacation for spring break, or build a bathroom in the basement. My daughter in her true wisdom says, "Bathrooms last forever, but vacations last, for like, what, ten days."

So what would you do bathroom or vacation? And if you choose vacation and lived in north west US or Canada, where would you go?

Well I would have agreed with your daughter if I were younger (granted I'm not sure how old she is) but now living on my own with my husband I would choose vacation because we never have time for just him and me to enjoy some really nice time, even to hike or go to the park. I work days, he just had to start overnights over a week ago, that has made our time more valuable since there is so little! So I vote vacation for that biased reasoning! Good Luck!!

I'm glad that you're feeling better. I had a rough day yesterday, but the nice weather today has really lifted my spirits:)

I would have to pick a vacation. We don't get the opportunity to travel much, but I love it when we do. Have you ever been to Yellowstone National Park? We went there a few years ago and I would love to go back. Everything is so beautiful there!

Sorry you had a rough weekend. Right now, because it's dreary and cold here, I'd choose the vacation, but ask me Friday when it's supposed to be 70 and sunny, and I'll probably say the bathroom. Have a great week!

Jen, she's 7 and a little too wise for her age. I'm leaning toward the vacation.

Melissa: It seems a lot of people were feeling the same, maybe it was some sort of cosmic energy only writers get.

Susan: Hoping to have a better week. Thanks.

What?? Boston Rob is on Survivor again? I am gonna have to tune in!

A bathroom is too much work - for for the trip.

I think vacations have become a precious rarity these days, so that gets my vote. As for where - hmm, have you considered the Seattle waterfront? Pike's Place Market, Seattle Center, the Science Center/Imax, the Aquarium, the zoo...

Heather: Yes it's Heros vs Villians. I'm leaning toward a trip. Now where to go.

I hope the rest of your week will be awesome Patti! =) I'd love to go to Hawaii. Some day. *fingers crossed*

Shannon: We've been to Seattle. I'm thinking of trying somewhere warm. Maybe Disneyland, although it might be too late to plan that.

Carolyn: I've been watching the flights to Hawaii.

I'm a solid Survivor fan and Boston Rob is one of my favorite players.

Bathroom or vacation...well, the MEMORIES from a vacation also last a lifetime. I say vacation. Have you ever been to Banff, Canada? My cousin and her husband said it was as beautiful as New Zealand!!

KM: I agree vacations have memories, although my kids forget a lot. I live an hour from Banff, so we've been there lots and it is beautiful although I haven't been to New Zealand so I'm not sure about the comparison.

Isn't your daughter like six or seven? What amazing insight. I agree...walks are very good. I used to run for perspective, and then I injured my knees. Now I have no perspective and bad knees.

LOVE your wit, girl. You make me laugh, and that ain't easy.

Vacation.

Friday Harbor, island off the coast of Washington, via the Empire Builder Amtrak train from Chicago to Seattle, then a ferry over to the isle.

Or I could go back to Vancouver, one of the world's MOST BEAUTIFUL cities.

Jessie: It's hard to have perspective without knees.

Tina: I've been looking at Disneyland, trying to find a hotel.

Patti: I love Vancouver, it's one of our favourite places to go.

It's hard to pick. The thing with the vacation is time with the family and memories that will last a lifetime, but if you often take vacations and need the bathroom, it might be time for the bathroom.
