What I'm trying to learn.

I'm learning that you can't eat well and exercise hard for one day and expect to lose weight.

I'm learning that the politics behind kids sports is almost overwhelming.

I'm learning that you really do have to add weight training to your exercise regime if you want to be stronger.

I'm learning that if threaten early bedtime, your kids will clean their room.

I'm learning that you do get a lot accomplished if you wake up early, but eventually you'll need a nap.

I'm learning that you have run more if you want to get faster.

I'm learning if you plan your meals ahead of time, life becomes easier.

I'm learning that in order to be a better writer you actually need to keep writing, not just think about it all the time.

I'm learning that if you use counting to get your kids to stop doing something, you should tell them what you're counting to.

I laughed out loud several times while reading your list... I must be learning the same things.

That's the kicker, isn't it! :)

Natalie and Susan: Glad to see I'm not alone.

LW: It's definitely the kicker. You can think about all you want, but you really need to put the work in.

Those are awesome lessons! I laughed a lot reading this, but kept nodding my heading, thinking, "This is SO true!!"

I was going to pick out my favorite but I love them all!

Mine is still young enough that he doesn't know what comes after 3...so he panics at 2.

Heidi: I had started to count when my kids were fighting and my oldest son says "What are you counting to?" I laughed so hard I actually stopped being mad.

Jessie: My kids are starting to expect me to count to 10.

Patti - that comment about what number you were counting to was so funny I nearly spit out my coffee laughing!!!

True, all. I actually planned my meals this week and spent way less on groceries which made me really happy!

Laura: very true

Heidi: I still laugh whenever he does it, ,

Candi: It really helps . I find I spend less money and time on preparation.

I've learned so many of the same things. Life is really very similar for all of us, isn't it. I had to laugh at the counting one. So true.

Reading your profile we have a lot in common. "Escape to Witch Mountain" was also that kind of impressionable movie for me.
